Abstract

The process of international migration has now acquired new qualitative characteristics of a multidimensional social phenomenon, which determines the need for new approaches to its analysis. The paper introduces the concept of sociocultural frontier, which allows us to study the social consequences of the migration process from a new angle. The reasons for the formation of the sociocultural frontier are revealed, as well as the main problems characteristic of the regions that are the centers of its emergence, on the example of the Novosibirsk Oblast.
