Grain Еxport Infrastructure of Siberian Regions

Abstract

The paper discusses the issue of optimization of the logistics infrastructure of the regions of Siberia in the context of grain expansion to foreign markets. Grain is transported mainly by rail. The key logistics projects to increase its exports are the construction of the Zabaikalsky grain terminal and the expansion of the Severomuisky tunnel. The use of the Ob-Irtysh river system and access through the port of Sabetta and the Northern Sea Route to the markets of Southeast Asia may be considered promising. It is necessary to consolidate the efforts of the regions of Siberia in addressing the issues of modernizing existing elevator terminals and building new ones in areas where grain cargo is concentrated; logistic organization of grain transportation routes; increasing the number of railway stations that supply grain wagons; technological modernization of the track facilities at the points of grain shipment.
