Abstract

There is no consensus among the experts community in relation of their assessments of how effective the economic policy pursued in the Republic of Belarus over recent years was. The same is in relation of medium- and long-term prospects of the development of the country. Our analysis is based on the comparison Belarus with other large countries of the post-soviet space such as Russia and Ukraine. Our approach is quite reasonable since these countries displayed approximately equal indicators of their development and efficiency.
