US Shale Gas Revolution: Consequences are Irreversible

Abstract

Active debate regarding preconditions, the character and consequences of US shale gas revolution continues. Some discussants do not put under question its very phenomenon, but do not believe in its global character and/or consequences referring to disappointment (resulted of unfulfilled overstated expectations?) in developing shale oil and gas resources somewhere else except the US. Others, including in our country, on the contrary, say that Russia and Gazprom have overslept this revolution and that we need immediately all together start in pursuit of developing shale resources in order not to lag behind other states. Lets have a closer look at the issue.
