Abstract
The paper reviews cooperation between the PRC and Australia in the energy sector from the 1990s to the present day. Despite periodic downturns in relations caused by crises in the global economy or conjunctural factors, bilateral ties have developed steadily: over several decades, Australia has become one of the PRC’s fuel bases, and Beijing has become a major investor in energy projects on its territory. Thus, despite some difficulties, multi-channel ties in the energy sector ensure close cooperation between the economic systems of the PRC and Australia.References
