Abstract

Abstract. The authors consider and compare at the macro level the main results of Russia's economic development in 2019–2021 and in 2022–2024. The paper demonstrates the acceleration of growth of a number of key macroeconomic indicators in recent years compared to the previous three-year period. It is revealed the change in the structure of budget expenditures and the growth of the role of the state in the redistribution of GDP, as well as the increase in the share of investment financing at the expense of the budget in 2022–2024. The authors analyze sectoral structural shifts in gross output and fixed capital investment. The paper reviews the dynamics of money supply and interest rates in the Russian economy in 2019–2024. It shows the increased volatility of the ruble-US dollar exchange rate in the new geopolitical conditions. The authors make a summary conclusion that the Russian economy has demonstrated significant resilience to external shocks.
