Abstract

The authors review the current economic relations between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China in the sphere of investment and trade cooperation and identify the main spheres of their cooperation. The paper shows that the RF-PRC partnership in the sphere of investment and trade lags far behind the level of existing political ties between the two countries. The reasons preventing the dynamic development of economic cooperation between Russia and China, and, in particular, increasing the share of Russia’s presence among China’s partners are analyzed.
