Abstract

The paper addresses the problem of creation of junior exploration companies in Russia. Drawing on international experience, the authors compare approaches to their definition, target setting, and financing. The mechanism of corporatization of junior companies launched in Russia on the SPX Exchange has not yet brought the expected result - the companies haven’t placed their shares there. The first junior company in the monopolized diamond mining industry, whose securities will be in free circulation, may become PJSC Almar, which develops alluvial diamond deposits in the Arctic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
