Abstract

The paper studies the position of Far Eastern regions in the final rating of innovativeness of Russian regions and its sub-ratings. The weak level and low rates of their innovative development are noted. Based on the analysis of statistical and departmental data for 2018–2021, the low spatial concentration of resources due to the weak level of innovation infrastructure development, reduction of human resources potential, insufficient financing of innovation activities is shown. Significant heterogeneity and unevenness of development of innovation and technological processes in the district as a whole is revealed. Low innovation activity of enterprises and organizations, low level of implementation of technological innovation projects in the real sectors of the economy are shown. A number of measures contributing to the increase of connectivity and equalization of innovation space of the macro-region and achievement of its sustainable positive socio-economic dynamics are proposed.
