Abstract

The article deals with the problems of regulating the market of road freight transport. The existing dimensions of the fleet of trucks, the volume of work performed are shown, the volume is estimated and the reasons for “shadow” transportation are named, the costs of cargo delivery are given, shortcomings are revealed and proposals for regulating the market of transportation of bulky and heavy cargo are substantiated. The authors identify the main problems of the international transportation market, including the EAEU space, evaluate the effectiveness of the Platon system. Based on the analysis, proposals for the development of the potential of the Russian industry of road freight transportation are formulated.
