Abstract
Comparisons of incomes per capita between regions do not give an idea of the real differences in the well-being of regions’ population. The reason is that price levels vary across regions. Cost-of-living indices published by Rosstat since 2009 provide information on price levels. Despite they are reported by city rather by region, these data can be easily aggregated into regional price levels. Тhis paper reports regional price levels obtained with the use of such aggregation for 2021 and reports results of estimating real incomes per capita across the Russian regions based on these price levels.References
