Abstract

The economic development of the Russian Arctic zone is determined by the extraction of mineral resources, primarily hydrocarbons. At present, oil and gas field services play an important role in oil and gas production. However, the existing regional markets for oil and gas services have a high level of concentration on the demand side, therefore, service companies (primarily independent ones) do not develop. The development of service markets in the oil and gas sector of the Arctic zone requires combining the efforts of service companies, support, and stimulation of their activities by regional authorities. This will increase the efficiency of hydrocarbon production and address economic issues in the oil and gas regions of the Russian Arctic.
