Abstract
Hands-on managers of heating supply industry offer comments on the current situation and main problems facing the heat supply infrastructure in Novosibirsk. Many years of lacking overhaul, low tariffs on the regulated market caused lots of problems for developing heating networks. As far as damage indicators are concerned, Novosibirsk is among leaders in areas that are serviced by OOO “Siberian Generating company”. Absence of storm drainage, errors of design and assembly of transport channels create highly corrosive environment in heat pipelines. The authors describe their practical experience of planning repair works and suggest a number of measures to attract non-tariff sources of financing. The paper draws on the discussions at the round table “Organization of heat supply: reliability and quality” that took place under the auspices of EKO journal, IEIE SB RAS and the International fund of energy saving and development of fuel and energy complex of Novosibirsk oblast in October 2019.
